ABOUT ARTISTIC AUTISTIC

Hi. I'm Tasha. I'm a 42 year old mum of two. I was diagnosed with autism at the age of 40. I have an autistic son and an autistic partner. My daughter does not have a diagnosis. When I was at school I wanted to be a Dramatherapist focussing on working with people with autism, but the dramatherapy course was not financially viable for me so I completed a degree in Psychology and Drama and then embarked on a career in housing  and social care, which has led me to work with autistic people of various ages, with a range of needs in a range of settings over the past 20 years. I don't really consider myself to be an activist or an advocate. I just share my thoughts and experiences from the heart. This is where I've found my voice and I hope that it will help or encourage others to find and express theirs too.
